Arvid @ reddit, Sonja Time

reddit alienA little late notice (aheh), but I'll be on "IAMA" on reddit in a half-hour, talkin' and jawin' about Red Sonja. I'll be lurking all day.

Direct link to the reddit post right here.

Thanks to comixology for putting it all together. They're doing a Red Sonja sale right now, check it out!

  1. I’m really enjoying all your ‘Dynamite’ work so far, so thanks. Thanks for the comixology sale too, got all the Sonja issues they had there.

Speaking of Comixology – is Rex Mundi going to be sold digitally some time?

Thanks again for all the excellent comics.

  2. Rescued from the jaws of Spamblivion! Hope you like the new Sonja arc; don’t know about the writing, but the art is just terrific.

Ack-tually, we’re just hammering out the details for Rex Mundi digital right now. Stay tuned for details!

  3. Cool. Rex Mundi is a comic I think the spousal unit will like, too.

And yeah, the overall quality of Sonja artistically is staggeringly good I think, generally speaking. Your colourist might be the best of all of you on that one. :)

Haven’t got to the very latest ones yet, as I have been getting trades and digital, so will let you know.

The only downside to Dynamite is the whole multiple cover thing – and being in Australia, we are usually an afterthought for that sort of thing or will miss out if the locals there demand them first – but at least they seem to be all in the trades. As you mention on your website, Paul Renaud is just killing it. Jusko is a master, so hard to top him, but he has done it I think on the Mars series.

  4. Coloring is so import! Jeromy Cox was a huge, huge reason Rex Mundi got off the ground. Colorists really are the unsung heroes of comics.

I know, the multiple covers! I think Dynamite has mixed feeling about them, too, but it helps sales…
