Zero Killer #5 in stores today!
This is my favorite Zero Killer front cover to date. The whole idea was to ape a Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post front cover, and Matt pulled it off brilliantly.
And how about David Stewart? I love the blue color of the kid in the extreme foreground. Blue! God knows why it works, but it does.
As for the inside, as usual, there's lots of extra stuff in this issue. It's my favorite edition of Dawn's Early Light yet. There's an awesome "inside look" feature on ZK #5 at brokenfrontier.com. Thanks to Frederik, the evil genius behind Broken Frontier, for running the piece.
So come get some!
Got the color pages for Zero Killer #6 today…
Oh my dear sweet LORD. David Stewart, one of the greatest colorists of all time, is responsible for the lightwaves bathing your retinae right now. You can see why he's won so many Eisners.
It is such an honor having him coloring Zero Killer. The more I look at his pages, the more they unfold to me. Like a Buddhist koan. Or something.
Two Books, Same Time
The final issue of Rex Mundi hits stores today. So long, Rex Mundi!
And, as if that weren't enough, Zero Killer #4 is out today, too. Finally, after two years.
What can I say? It's a good day to be Arvid.
